Rahul’s research focuses on theoretical and numerical modeling of galaxy formation in a cosmological context. His interests include, investigating the role of various feedback processes in regulating the statistical properties of galaxies, impact of thermal conduction on the properties of the intra-cluster medium and the effect of local radiation fields on the star formation rate of galaxies.
Rahul obtained a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg. He was then a Postdoctoral fellow at MIT before joining the CfA.
