About
Iniyan Natarajan obtained his Ph.D. degree at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. His research interests include theory and algorithms for radio astronomy data processing and Bayesian inference. He has developed techniques for Bayesian calibration of Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) observations. As a member of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), he has developed software packages and pipelines for synthetic data generation, data calibration and image feature extraction in addition to analyzing EHT data. He is also interested in instrument and atmospheric modeling for next-generation VLBI arrays.
