About

Dr. Kristina Monsch received her Ph.D. from the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, Germany in September 2021. In January 2022, she started her work as a postdoc in the High Energy Astrophysics Department (HEAD) at CfA, where she works together with Dr. Jeremy J. Drake and Dr. Cecilia Garraffo on modelling the disk-locking process in the context of magnetic morphology-driven stellar spin-down of low-mass stars. Her work primarily focuses on understanding how the birth environments of nascent planets - the protoplanetary disks and their central stars - are imprinted in the demographics and diversity of exoplanets that we are observing today with missions like Kepler or TESS.
