Image List

  • To commemorate Chandra's 20th anniversary, an assembly of new images is being released. Some of these images contain Chandra data exclusively while others show how X-rays fit with the different types of light that other telescopes collect. From left to right, top row: they are the galaxy cluster Abell 2146, the region around the Milky Way center's supermassive black hole known as Sagittarius A*, the 30 Doradus nebula; bottom row: the star-forming region Cygnus OB2, NGC 604 in the galaxy M33, and the supernova remnant G292.0+1.8.
