Cambridge Explores the Universe - Sunday, April 23, Noon - 4 pm

Become an astronomer for a day! Hosted as part of the annual Cambridge Science Festival, Cambridge Explores the Universe invites space scientists of all ages to explore the wonder of the universe together at this out-of-this-world astronomy extravaganza!

Enjoy telescope tours, hands-on activities, live demonstrations, prizes, and even chat with local astronomers to find out what's new in the universe! Visitors can tour the research Radio Telescope, the historic Great Refractor, and MicroObservatory. Visitors to Cambridge Explores the Universe can use MicroObservatory to request and colorize their very own images of astronomical objects. Explorers of all ages can fly through the Universe with WorldWide Telescope and check out the Solar Wall, a series of 9 LCD TVs displaying feeds of solar activity. This year, there's even an opportunity to view the historic Photographic Plate Stacks!

Cambridge Explores the Universe is perfect for all ages!

This program will be held at the Center for Astrophysics, 60 Garden Street, Cambridge.
