Spring Public Events Schedule Now Online

We're pleased to announce that the full schedule of upcoming public programs is now available. This spring's Observatory Night talks will examine some of astronomy's biggest mysteries, like the nature of dark energy and dark matter, the origin of planets, and the cloaked center of our Milky Way galaxy. We'll explore how Big Data can become Big Art, and learn how near-Earth asteroids are discovered and tracked. As always, rooftop viewing will follow the talks when weather permits.

This spring also features the return of Sci-fi Movie Nights. These programs take a light-hearted look at science-fiction classics of yesterday and today, with an introduction covering what science the movie got right and what the movie got really wrong. Our two feature presentations will be "Gravity" and "Fantastic Voyage."

Doors open at 7:00 pm for both Observatory Nights and Movie Nights. The main presentation will begin at 7:30.
