About

Prior to arriving at CfA, I worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Hamilton Standard, and the Digital Equipment Corporation Artificial Intelligence Technology Center. My experience at these locations was in the area of Real Time Simulation, interface, Control, and Data Acquisition, and Artificial Intelligence applications. This included real time turbofan engine simulation and control, radar simulations, and real time, high resolution, high speed graphical displays, and AI tools applied to diagnostics and prediction. Here at the CfA, I first was assigned to the HRC Instrument team where I built the HRC EGSE and tested the HRC both in the lab and at the XRCF. Later I led the SDS team which was responsible for the Chandra Level 0 data products and associated CIAO tools. From there I moved to my present position: the ACIS Operations team. In the course of my work at all locations, I built several expert system, Neural Net and Genetic Algorithm applications.
