Joseph Wilcox is the Operations Manager at the Fred L. Whipple Observatory (FLWO); he joined SAO in April 2024. Prior to working at SAO, he was a Facility Operations Manager in South Korea working for the U.S. Air Force, and with the Department of State working in Mexico. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Joseph spent eight years in the US Marine Corps and served all around the world, from Afghanistan, Thailand, Morocco, and Japan. Joseph earned a Master's in Business Administration from North Carolina State University, and his Bachelor's from the University of Maryland University College.
