Matthew Leung is a PhD student at Harvard University, jointly advised by David Charbonneau and Andrew Szentgyorgyi. His research interests include astronomical instrumentation, specifically high resolution spectroscopy and adaptive optics, and the applications of AI. He is currently working on a new near-infrared spectrograph concept for characterizing exoplanet atmospheres. He is also working on G-CLEF, a high resolution optical spectrograph for the Magellan Clay Telescope and Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT).
