About
Brian earned a B.A. in Astrophysics at Franklin and Marshall college and then an M.S. in Applied Physics at Northern Arizona University. His interests in astronomy are expansive, originally working on the detection of gravitational waves using pulsar timing arrays before transitioning to characterizing asteroids using visible and near-infrared spectroscopy. Software development was a common thread throughout. This astronomy-computer science overlap is a niche that Brian has been filling for the last decade. Brian currently works as software engineer at the Minor Planet Center. His work focuses on modernizing and scaling legacy systems.
