About
Jakob den Brok, a Submillimeter Array (SMA) Postdoctoral Fellow, is engaged in pioneering research focused on unraveling the intricacies of the physical and chemical conditions within the interstellar molecular gas of neighboring galaxies, where stellar formation takes place. Leveraging cutting-edge mm wavelength observations that illuminate emissions from diverse molecular species, Jakob employs innovative analysis techniques to characterize the molecular gas across the multifaceted environments prevalent in nearby galaxies. Besides his current ongoing work, Jakob den Brok has a broad research interests and enthusiasm for public outreach.
