About

My major interests are currently twofold: My scientific research concerns an interdisciplinary study of physical, biological, and cultural evolution, seeking to understand the emergence of galaxies, stars, planets, life, and society, thus devising a unifying worldview of the Universe and our place within it writ large. My educational work engages master teachers and computer animators to create better methods, technological aids, and novel curricula to share all aspects of natural science with the general public. I teach an annual course at Harvard University on "cosmic evolution" that incorporates these research and educational endeavors.
