Edward DeLuca

About

DeLuca has worked at CfA since 1993. His background is in solar magnetohydrodynamics with applications to coronal structures and the solar dynamo. He is the US PI for the Hinode X-Ray telescope (XRT), and a Co-I on Solar Dynamics Observatory Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) and on the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS). Recently, DeLuca has worked closely with Jenna Samra on developing solar coronal infrared instrumentation with airborne and balloon programs. DeLuca is the Project Scientist on the EUV CME and Coronal Connections Observatory (ECCCO) a Small Explorer proposal lead by Kathy Reeves.
