About

Tim studies the atmospheres and evolution of white dwarf stars by means of multi-dimensional radiation hydrodynamic simulations and population synthesis methods. In particular he is interested in accurately modeling the surface convection zones of these stellar remnants. He also studies white dwarfs polluted by planetary debris and the physics of accretion by utilizing X-ray, UV, optical and IR spectroscopy and photometry.
